Roy Zipstein was at the Apple store last Saturday, April 3rd covering the launch of the much anticipated iPad. Here’s what he had to say from the scene at the 5th avenue main store:
“People camped out over night and the atmosphere at 9am when the doors opened and the first customers were let in was just like any Apple store opening: high energy both from employees and customers alike.
There was extra security, LOTS of media, and the few tables in the store with iPads on them were mobbed the entire day.
The product works right out of the box so people quickly unwrapped their new toy and were sitting around the store (you need a wifi connection for it) and played with it.
It was another crazy, fun day in Apple World.”

Have you been to the newest Apple store in Paris yet? Located in the Carrousel du Louvre, perhaps tourists and locals alike will flock to the store when the new iPad is released.
